Winters can be rough for skin but I have got you covered!!
In this blog, I will share with you my Winter Skincare Routine and yes, it suggested having a different skincare routine in winter to protect your skin.
The winter season is the worst time for our skin, especially if you suffer from dryness. During this time of the year, the cold air steals moisture from your skin, causing it to become dry, itchy, and irritable.
So to start I use Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque. I generally use a mask twice a week in winters to maintain my skin’s moisture. It helps to hydrate parched skin, and support the skin’s barrier to help protect the skin from the damaging effects of the cold weather.
Next, I use one of the ordinary’s most loved product – “Peeling Solution”. A few years ago when the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution from The Ordinary by Deciem was released, it made a lot of skincare lovers add it to their routine. To be honest, I have noticed a huge difference in my skin since I have started using this peeling solution.
Here are some benefits of peeling solution –
- The dual powers of AHAs and BHAs exfoliate the skin doubly.
- It clears congested and clogged pores beneath the skin’s surface.
- It helps fight blemishes visible on the skin.
- It boosts radiance of the skin.
- It improves the appearance of skin texture.
- It reduces the look of fine lines.
After that, I pamper the under-eye skin a bit more with Garnier Hydra Bomb Eye Serum Mask which helps me treat dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. Pampering your under-eye skin with additional products has always been a topic of debate and I personally like to keep my under-eye skin super hydrated so I go for this step but if you want you can totally skip this step.
Coming to the next step, I use Pixi Overnight Glow Serum which helps me get a more even and radiant skin tone overnight. It has also helped me reduce the appearance of fine lines and fade sun spots over time. If not Pixi Overnight Glow Serum then you must have serum of your choice that suits your skin in your routine.
Last step of the routine is to use any facial Cream to look in the moisture. I personally use Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream which is a lightweight but rich moisturizer that is formulated to provide 24-hour hydration, even in extreme temperatures, such as cold climates making it one of my absolute favorites for winters.
Let me know in the comments what is your favourite part of skincare routine.
