Hey Gorgeous, if you are someone trying to shop your first makeup kit or looking to travel with only makeup essentials this wedding season then you have landed and the right page. In the blog, I have not only listed the beauty products you should be picking but also my personal favorites in each product category.
1. Primer
Primer is surely one of the most important items in this list of mine as primer can break or make your entire look. Primer not only blurs your pores and smoothens your skin, but also helps decrease the production of oils throughout the day. It acts as a base and helps in achieving a smooth makeup application. It will also make your makeup last longer.
2. Foundation
For the festive look, it is better if we ditch our day-to-day lightweight favorites and go for a heavy-duty high coverage foundation. Here I will share one of my favourite trick is not to pile on thick layers but build up coverage and blend it out until you achieve a flawless finish. Also while picking the foundation don’t forget to consider your skin type, skin undertone, and skin tone.
3. Concealer
Concealer is your best friend when it comes to the full face of makeup. It perfectly covers under-eye circles, pimples, dark spots, and scars. When picking a concealer make sure that it is one that lasts in hot, humid weather, but has a creamy texture so that it doesn’t get cakey
4. Shimmer Eyeshadow palette
No festive look can be complete without the classic golden eye look and not only the Classic Golden shimmer eyeshadow palette to cover all of your festive events this season. When you are picking a Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette then go for a creamy texture, lasting power, and little to no fallout.
5. Mascara
Mascara gives your lashes volume and length. While picking a mascara keep in mind you can’t get the lashes you want without the right tool so the mascara wand shape plays a major role over here. If you are somebody with thin lashes choose the mascara that gives you double the volume, so go for a big mascara wand and thicker mascara liquid texture and if you have short eyelashes then you should pick a mascara with a long and thin brush and look for a packaging that says it’s a lengthening mascara.
6. Kohl Pencil
No Eye look is complete without Kohl. At present we have many color options when it comes to Kohl Pencil. Still, my two most favorites are Black and White. Depending on your eye size you can go with any of these. To make your eyes look big go for a white kohl pencil. Otherwise, you can go with a black kohl pencil.
7. Blush, highlighter & contour Palette
As a beginner or somebody who is packing makeup in a travel kit – Going with Blush, highlighter & Contour Palette is an easy option then going for each individually. Contour shade will help you to highlight your cheekbones and jawline. Blush will give that color pop and highlighter will highlight your high points.
8. Matte lipstick
A matte lipstick is necessary for the festive season. It provides more coverage and because of the matte finish, it will last longer. But at times liquid matte lipsticks can be drying so in that case you can go for Bullet Matte Lipstick. If you want you can also line your lips before applying lipstick.
